Diesel All Time High

The province is cutting our 15 cent per liter tax at the end of the month for an undetermined amount of time but didn’t even fill it up on one transaction haha.

There should be no tax on fuel and gas ever!

Diesel hit an all time high today. In ND, where we produce 1.3M barrels of crude per day, I've seen prices from $5.80 to $6.00 gallon........the golden age of diesel is upon us!

I'm running water to this frack. We're half way done and they probably spent $100k on diesel already running their pumps to frack 4 wells. You can see in the picture they are rolling coal.

$6.79 in Massachusetts today

Oil prices have dropped a lot in a week, in my opinion, that probably signals broader economic weakness or perhaps a pending crisis. Complete demand destruction would get the pump prices down, but you might not have a job either. Aren't globalist agendas fun?

I feel for you diesel guys; however, not to get political this is a fact I cannot comprehend the prez allows to happen:
Recent records indicate that the U.S. exports up to 1.9 million barrels per day of diesel, making it the largest transportation fuel export by volume from the country.
And yes, he could freeze that from happening but so far too busy renaming bodies of water; I guess.
I'm out of this discussion for good!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the record the Prez or any State Gov cannot control global oil markets or set fuel prices at the pump... just saying.

Last comment....I can name ONE president who froze the price of fuel at the pump (along with other items) when I was in college, 1972 I believe. However, a year or two later we had gas lines a half mile long to get fuel due to shortages. Can Trump freeze the price? Freezing a price is setting the price.
He does have the authority to control exports for a few months or longer.

(Now need to turn off notifications)

Like most commodities, there are global implications for any exports/imports. One of the problems with oil and diesel is that the US is a net exporter now and we make good money doing it. Also due to the Ukrainian's bombing Russian refineries with our bombs, it's been a huge impact on worldwide diesel supplies. So in reality, every country takes a hit on supply and pricing. We likely aren't going to kill exports because we are still meeting local demand, albeit much higher prices. We have interest in many foreign countries just the same, so we'll try to balance it with our allies.

Also China agreed to stop/slow oil imports during the war to keep a lid on worldwide oil prices. So I'm sure we have agreements with them to not disrupt supply of other fuel and other refined products they rely heavily on as well.

Doesnt really matter if you have a gasser that gets lower mpg than diesel. You are forking out the same money to fill a tank.

I think it will take a long time before we see low oil and fuel prices.

Been using both Greenline and Open Roads to try and mitigate fuel prices a little. Paid $5.69 for fuel yesterday in AZ.

That gas shortage in the 70s was bogus too. I remember being a little kid and asking my father why all the tankers were anchored just outside the main ship channel. It was because they had no where to go in Texas. The oil reserves were full. Its all a manipulated game. And yes the president can control the exports.

I do also believe there is not supposed to be gouging during an event.. Oil companies can’t cry it cost them more and then turn around and say they had record profits. The two don’t match.

I just did a 3600 mile round trip and blew through 8 different states. Many of these states produce high volumes of crude and have ample refining capacity. I seen road diesel priced from $5.82-6.90. The cheapest was a small station on the Arizona/New Mexico border, but did not stop to see if it was true. I filled up in ND for $5.92, but a lot of my fill ups were $6-6.30.

Usually Wyoming, New Mexico and sometimes Utah are the cheapest places i go to, but they were all around $6.25, which is close to the national average.

I burned about 225 gallons of fuel for about $1,350.

I think it gets worse yet. Seems like after the election some more bullshit is gonna pop off!

I'll tell you one thing tho, $6 diesel ain't slowing anybody down. The roads were busy and construction everywhere. I40 from Albuquerque to Flagstaff was the busiest I've seen it and I blew through there in the early evening. Total shit show with truck traffic......the most brutal 300 miles I've ever done.

Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver and Albuquerque all full of new construction. It's no big deal for investors to build $10-20 million buildings and let them sit empty with an "available" sign on them. When you go through Salt Lake it's 100 miles of development from Provo to Brigham City. Denver is 100 miles of development feom Ft Collins to Colorado Springs. Phoenix the same in four directions. It's unfathomable to see the money tied up in all that development.

Diesel fuel is at $7.01 ‐cash, $7.11 -credit at a Pilot Truck Stop in New Castle, south western Pennsylvania

Sunoco Los Fresnos, TX
$3.39 Regular
$4.39 Premium
$5.51 Diesel

I listed Premium because that's what I ran when I owned the 6.2L ZR2.
