Just traded in my 2026 Colorado ZR2 for a 2023 Silverado ZR2...
Found an off lease, extremely well maintained Silverado in a smaller town here in Indiana. It sat on the lot not getting any attention for about 4 months, drove out when the price bottomed out to trade value. Ran it to my dealership at home and to my buddy's on an overnight test drive to get a good look over.
Walked in the next day, worked a deal and snagged the truck with a 10yr/100k mile bumper to bumper and came in just $2,000 over it's trade value.. I guess an expensive, white, off-road truck just didn't hit thier market right.
Did all the same things I had done to my Colorado immediately.. swapped the chrome lined ZR2 badges out for black lined badges, dumped the chrome 6.2L badges for the black/red ones.. now just waiting on my blacked out rear bowtie and black/red flow-tie to come in.
Pretty happy about the truck.. Prior to the Colorado, I had been in a copperhead pearlcoat 2014 Ram Sport that I had spent a lot of time making it what I wanted (performance upgrades, kore lift and suspension, wheels/tires, topper, fab bumpers, and so on).. The Colorado was an amazing truck, but taking the family on trips longer than about 3 hours was just too cramped.. so here we are. I won't be running the Silverado through the same things I did the RAM, so I plan to keep it pretty stock minus maybe an exhaust system.
I know the 6.2L has it troubles, but I have a work vehicle, and a backup truck..so the warranty takes care of any real worrying for me.
