The body panel control module failed, fortunately it was covered under the extended warranty I purchased. Once replaced, however, the gateway control module would not communicate with it, had to go back and have it reset. Also, waiting on word if the serial number on the engine matches one of the 750,000 recalled for potential catastrophic failure.

This type of problem is common after replacing an electronic module on recent vehicles.

There was (at one time) a recall for the Serial Data Gateway module. It's possible that the BCM wasn't the issue.
