Today, my truck refused to start. It kept cranking as I pressed the start engine button. It's acting like its not getting any fuel. Fortunately I had a spare fuel control module that I bought right after I got my truck after reading so many failures of that module. Went under my truck, found it sitting above the gas tank. 10mm socket and 10 minutes of my time to swap the module.

Truck started up and drove like normal after that!

I just ordered another module today for a spare.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YALL ORDER GM #13554821 and put it in your glovebox as a spare!! A few minutes of inconvenience beats a whole day waiting for a tow truck!!

Glad you got ‘er fixed. I also carry a spare but haven’t had to use it yet. I did slide under to see where it was located. I think my spare was around $100 back in ‘23.

Seems like this is less of a issue now hopefully. The 22s and 23s were dropping like flies there for a while, lol.

Ordered a module for my 2025. $38
Another part probably going to give away in a couple years

Doesn't hurt. They are cheap enough, might as well have one on hand. I bought one back when I had my 22. 20k miles never needed it. I'm at 17k on my gas HD and still haven't needed it. Still keep it in the truck though 😅.

So it's the same part number? I always thought about checking to see if the diesel was the same, but it seems like it wouldn't. I've seen a couple diesel videos with bad FPCM.

I haven't checked on the diesels, But on the Gas 6.6 it's the same module. It's basically just a regulated power supply that also talks to the ECU. Diesels probably have a different one though with the higher fuel pressure
