Has anyone done any aftermarket stereo and/or speaker/woofer upgrades in their ZR2?

My system prompted me to re-login to my Google account, which took a couple tries to connect. Not sure if that was because I had did a soft reboot a few days before.

are you on Android 10 or Android 12?
12, mine updated last fall when they pushed it out. But my wife's Tahoe never updated and still shows 10 and says its current.

Try a soft reboot holding down the end call button on steering wheel for 10 seconds and see if it refreshes the system to allow downloads. It won't update to 12 using this method.

I also messed around with the fade/balance settings using SiriusXM. I usually run a little behind center, but it's better now just forward of center.

Also, I noted the best sound when the stereo was off and gears in L1-L3 @ 4000-5500 rpms.

OK...I did the download and followed the instructions on screen to complete the set-up. Sounds exactly the same as it did before. Pulled up the EQ settings and was changing them on the fly starting with bass...them miss...then highs. Heard absolutely no difference as I modified the EQ settings. What's up with this?

Weird..Mine was instant difference. What are your Factory EQ settings set to? I would make a note of them and then hit the reset button. Then in the Infiniti app under advanced EQ play with the levels. If you select default in that app it drops back to your factory settings so it should be pretty easy to tell the difference.

I'll play around with more later today.

That auto setup is a joke, use the manual custom setup just like I posted in the photos.

My kid added it to his Colorado Trailboss without the Bose system and he said it really helped his too. His non Bose system sounded better than the Bose system in mine.

In 1997 I got a 1997 Silverado 1500 and system wasn’t very good ,then In 03 I bought 2003 Silverado 1500 SS a blue one and the Bose was great and in 2015 I bought a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ black and the Bose system was even better. Now in this 2026 1500 ZR2 it’s ok not the best. I’m looking for a place to add a 10”JL sub under the back seat if possible.
