Has anyone done any aftermarket stereo and/or speaker/woofer upgrades in their ZR2?

What did you go with? The infotainment in these trucks suck! Never connects to my phone, gotta reconnect every single time, Sirius XM never picks up and plays without going either a channel up or a channel down to get it to start playing. Seems like the latest OTR made it even worse.
I’m curious to know what others have done to their ZR2

The forum search function is your friend...a lot of stereo upgrades on this forum...mostly speakers and subs. There is no good way to change out the head unit based on how it's integrated.

I think it would be virtually impossible to swap out the head unit as it controls everything digital.

Some people have gotten their systems replaced under warranty cause they were faulty or bricked. Might ask your dealer for some support on getting a new unit or contact GM customer service.

Did nothing on the 2500 ZR2 because I am only keeping it until the new body style comes out but the 2024 Bison Colorado yes. Replaced with Focal speakers, Alpine HDA-F60 and a AudioControl LC7i Line Output Converter to tune it.

Try holding the end call button until radio goes blank and resets itself. It's 50/50 shot sometimes works may take a couple times. Unfortunately can't change the head unit on the Silverado's. There are options now with loop back harness, and line outputs to totally bypass gm's stellar audiophile. I will eventually do that one day. For now I'm satisfied with gm kicker with dip switch settings 1up2dn3up4up5up6up with kicker volume control.
