I’m awaiting my HD ZR2 order, which I ordered specifically without a sunroof under the impression that the headliner will be tucked tight to the roof like a lower trim truck. I went through this with a salesman at a different dealership than I bought from but ultimately didn’t go with due to their price.
I recently saw a JB reviews and was shocked to see that the headliner is basically the same as a sunroof with an indentation… which I was none too pleased to see. I figure I have 3 options:

1. Find some new seat brackets, ot have a custom shop make some to drop the seat an inch or 2.
2. Have a custom interior shop to modify the headliner to fit my big head.
3. Live with it and just lean my seat back more than I wanted to, hence why I ordered the truck I did.

I did ask my salesman to look into it when I talked to him this week. If there’s anything they’ve heard of on the market, as I’m sure I’m not the only tall torso’d guy that’s bought a truck.

Just lean like Cheech

The problem with the seat bases is there's a lot of hardware in them for the adjustments and HVAC. You may lose that functionality if modify them much.

It's hard to find upholstery shops nowadays, but a good upholster specialist could probably modify the headliner or make a new one.

I’m leaning towards that as the likely option, there’s a couple near me. But figured I’d throw it out here.
