High RPMs at startup

Noticed it a couple times. But immediately after startup the engine revs up for a couple seconds before coming back down. Highest I have seen is to 2500 rpms before going back down to idle speed. Anyone else have this?

How cold is it outside when it does this?

That could have something to do with it as vehicles higher at start when they're cold. However, with that being said, it should be consistent.

Definitely not consistent. And definitely higher than the elevated idles I’ve had on duramaxes. Only last for a second, but strange .

The 6.2 is a TON different than a Duramax...I'd just keep an eye on it and, if you feel more comfortable, take it in the shop and let them have it overnight so they can do a cold start in the morning.
