Issues with 1 in Peak Lift Blocks w/ 1.5 in Deaver Leaf Springs

Did you get the pinion shim? It could be that your hearing your drive shaft bind up, because it is no longer in alignment.

Thinking about this here, the thump only occurs when going over speed bumps and things like that, not when rolling over it, but when the tire makes contact with the road again. If that makes any sense. It occurs at a very specific point of going over a speed bumps lol and its a pain in the ass to explain.

The drive shaft would be moving back down at that point in its travel

I'm not sure what to tell you, as you've got a lot of parts installed that may not be designed to work together.

If you jack the truck up underneath the reciever hitch and see what it does when the suspsion extends, that will give you some idea what might be happening as the axel rotates below the leaf and how the drive shaft slides. Then drop it fast and see what it does. The problem is you're not replicating what's really happening with forward momentum and thousands of pounds of weight.

What I am likely going to do is either take the deaver leafs off and put the stock leafs on, or take the peak blocks off and put the stock ones on.

Unfortunately changing multiple things adds multiple layers where an issue can arise. Keep using common sense and logic to hunt down the issue, like the guys have said here. Relates to anything you have to solve; back up, slow down and uninstall one thing at a time and try it. If you do an entire uninstall and the issue is resolved it just tells you that what you first did isn’t working. Try one side at a time possibly, who knows, think outside the box. Pull the rear shocks off and drive over same bump. You may bounce like a TJ car but it’ll eliminate the shock extension issue. I’m here for moral support only, my rear end is quiet.

Thats the plan. Im gonna get it off the ground today and pry around a bit see if anything is moving. Then pull blocks off and see what happens, then go from there
