Lee Zeldin, Secretary of DOT, getting rid of costly emissions on DIESEL trucks!!!

Do you have children? Do any of your family members have children? Do you not have any concern for the environment and the future our children will inherit? THAT is the reason the exhaust emission control devices were put in place. Amazes me how selfish individuals are with no concern for the environment or what the impact will be on the future.

If you look at the true science and stats surrounding green house gases, you have been brainwashed my friend. Auto emissions make up a VERY small fraction of the climate issues which is almost none at all. Am I concerned knowing the real facts behind this BS we've all been fed? I am not and yes I have kids and a new 6 week old grand daughter. You clearly drank the CNN/MSDNC KoolAid ;)

I would genuinely like to see a true breakdown that says we can manufacture more steel for DPFs, manufacture more sensors and chips, manufacture urea, manufacture more plastic jugs, manufacture more cardboard to carry the plastic jugs, distribute all that material around the country, reduce fuel mileage so….wait for it…we can manufacture more fuel so more fuel has to be hauled……..to “save our children”.

I have a hard time believing we are making crazy strides forward to save the planet leveraging the above methods vs regenerative farming, rainforest expansion, native grassland reintroduction, local agriculture consumption, recycling, etc

Then again, maybe diesels exhaust will kill all our children?

What’s more of a risk to our children, the planet, and our future?

Diesel or politicians.

Would probably save the planet more if all OEMs built shit to last vs constantly buying new stuff and exhausting resources. Of course all the exhausts and destruction for digging up lithium doesnt count in any greenie's equation. Add that to getting rid of the 1000lb battery packs when they are no longer any good (see statement one) and them catching on fire and cant really put them out. Im sure the EVs are worse for the environment in the long run.

That's a bot your responding too, so I wouldn't try to make it make sense. They'll just cut and paste some more climate bullshit. Easy to spot them, especially on emissions related posts.

@ChrisTX where you at MFer?

They don’t comprehend common sense either.

It's highly unlikely this will ever pass, if you think most politicians give a FF about DEF you're on crack. and if it did pass the lawsuits blocking it would last 20 years . the industry has spent billions on these requirements around the world and there's a 100% chance if they did drop them they'd have to bring them back after the next election.

Show me on this doll where diesel emissions touched you!

I believe the law will pass as there has been discussion about, in order to get it to pass, to require all diesel truck owners to use AMSOIL.

I make my living using diesel engines they're not just things I use to get kids to the soccer game to me. I hate the emissions crap but it's here to stay do I deal with it just like any other regulation I don't like.

diesels in the auto industry make up a small percentage of total sales and the industry has spent a fortune to come into compliance. even if this bill were to pass and by the time it ran through the courts there will be another administration in office who would reverse it. any changers would be short lived and big business doesn't move fast

if you run them hard or do extended driving they work better. if you use them like most people do you will have problems and any honest service manager for any brand will tell you this. get out of your mom's basement and talk to real people who work on diesels and you'll be more informed.
