Glad they are working for you. I liked them when they were on my ZR2 and the current ones in the TBGot them in and gave them a look see tonight. The image is really crisp and clear. This version without the white background is not very bright, so if your concerned about that you may want to get a different pattern.View attachment 26183
So they only come on when you unlock the vehicle and can only be seen at night. Once you open the driver's door or wants the vehicle is started they are not functional. It is only for approaching and unlocked vehicle and one that has not been started. You can start it with your remote start but once you open the driver's door and press the start button and the brake pedal the lights no longer illuminateI went to install my puddle lights today and noticed neither the stock nor the RTG lights would illuminate. Also checked my 1500 and lights weren't working there either.
Do they only illuminate in the dark? Is there a switch position or setting in the infotainment system that has to be set? I did not see any options for puddle lights.
Also seen other posts on other forums that said the dealer haf to reprogram them. I've had reprogramming done on all mine and can't say I recall seeing the lights come.on in a while.
Regarding the feedback about reduced brightness, we are already developing a new high-brightness version, which is expected to be released in March. So they only come on when you unlock the vehicle and can only be seen at night. The brightness will be approximately four times that of the current version. We hope this will be helpful.
I'll discuss the discount policies with @HighTechPauper ; there will definitely be discounts for loyal customers.I’ll be the one to ask what others are thinking. Will us early adopters of the first version get a discount on the new brighter version?![]()
Mine were a tight fit to install and super solid after installed. I noticed I didn't have them fully seated and were slightly loose right away, so double check they are fully seated? How well are these fitting for everyone? I put mine in last weekend and they are pretty loose. They don't fall out, but they do jiggle quite a bit.
Yeah, I took them in and out a couple times thinking that might be the issue. If I put them any further in, they'll be inside the mirror. The flange is flat against the lip on the bottom. And the strange thing is that the passenger side is much more loose than the driver, but they both wobble a bit in place.Mine were a tight fit to install and super solid after installed. One of mine was also hard to get into place. But once it snapped in they were solid.I have both styles for my ZR2 1500 and do not have a problem with either pair. They fit nice and snug. There is an extremely slight difference between the original OEM puddle lights and the custom ZR2 lights....but nothing that is out of acceptable tolerance. Both custom ZR2 lights fit perfectly fine.
If you are having issues with them being loose..... It might be a matter of installing them improperly. The custom ZR2 puddle lights are a little tricky to get them in, but once they are seated right and the tiny clip snaps in they should be fine. I did have to fidget with them a little bit when I first put them in to get them to seat right. With the extremely rare exception of a defective set you shouldn't have any issues. Just contact @Mixander Xi and I'm sure he will take care of you. Great customer service and he always answered my messages or questions.
All of the aftermarket products I have purchased from @Mixander Xi have been great quality and fit perfectly!![]()
Will have to give that a try. The lights themselves work great, but with them being so small and the design being amplified on the ground I've noticed on the passenger side especially I will get the design lined up and parallel to the truck, but between mirror movement and door opening it will turn just enough to look crooked.Add a dab of silicone. It'll snug it up and won't be visible.
Like I said earlier, I had a set when the same issue. They got replaced and then were perfect. Will have to give that a try. Yeah, I still sent an email, but I figure the silicone is a nice backup plan.Like I said earlier, I had a set when the same issue. They got replaced and then were perfect.
