Hello,

Been reading for a while and finally decided to post on here! Attached some pics and a cold start. 😎

My 2023 is due for an oil change which I set an appointment for at a local non dealer shop. I wanted to supply my own oil but didn’t know wether to buy 0W20 or 0W40, I called my local dealer to ask and got a not to confident answer of going with the 0W40.

I ordered Amsoil 0W40 but an second guessing that decision, I took my truck to the dealer about a week after the 6.2L recall was announced and they said it didn’t have the code when scanned but they didn’t do the oil change to the new viscosity since that wasn’t a remedy at that time.

Is it a big deal to do the new oil viscosity or am I risking my warranty?

Thanks!
