OTA feature update

Window roll down works. Auto vent fan does not. There is no menu for auto fan

My truck just offered the update and it completed successfully, my guess is that as with all the other climate control functions it will depend on the temperature. The vehicle will not turn on the climate system, the steering wheel and seat heaters unless the temp is below 54 degrees (I think that's the correct temp), and likewise it will not turn on the AC to high during remote start unless the temperature is above a certain temp, I am guessing this feature will not work unless the cabin temp is above a certain amount also.

I also think the better option for me in hot weather is to just double unlock to get the windows down, and then lock it and remote start it, that way the actual AC comes on instead of just the fan.

I live in Texas summer. It was plenty hot inside to actuate it lol. Just curious why doesn’t work. Your way better probably

Is this new update for all ZR2's, or is it just for the 24-25 ZR2's? My ZR2 is a 2022 and I have not yet been offered the update. Of course I can put the windows down with the key fob, but still have not yet got the update. Or maybe they are offering it by model year, from new to old.

Mine is a 2022 also. The last OTA update it got was sometime in 2023.

Went back and read the article again. It says the update is for 2024-2025 model year trucks. I guess we are shit out of luck. Thanks GM.

It should roll the windows down with the key fob even without the update. Press the lock button once, then press the lock button again and hold it and the windows should roll down. No update needed for that feature.

I have been checking for this update every couple of days since it was announced on GMA, but my truck just came up with it the other day, they are obviously rolling it out over time to different groups for one reason or another. Not sure why I was looking for it, just curiosity I guess since I can't see needing it or ever wanting to use it for reasons stated above, I would rather have full AC and seat cooling instead of just the fan anyway, which works with no update needed.

I checked for updates the other day and it said everything was current. I shut the truck off and it asked me if I wanted to start the update . I did get the windows to finally roll down by unlocking the truck and then holding down the unlock button on the second push but the fan didn’t come on. The truck was reading 104 at the time.

I haven't seen anybody say they got this to work, even in the GMA article and video Luft didn't show it work and he never said that it did, so I kind of wonder what the trick is, obviously there is no documentation on the procedure to make this function work, just like GM to update something and leave us in the dark about its operation.
