What is a good resource to gauge the value of a new untitled vehicle that is a couple model years old?

I'd run it through the Kelly Blue Book and see what is says and then see if you can stack some discounts on top off that.

Dealers can't sell new stuff now, so new old stuff shoukd be priced to move. Right now there are pretty good discounts on new 26s that just hit the lots. If it's a run of the mill model, I'd want 20% or more off MSRP. Specialty low volume vehicles maybe less room for discounts.

I've never leased but there's some good formulas published for determining lease rate and you can negotiate other maintenance and mileage limits as well.

It’s a low volume model (Hummer EV). I’m not sure what GM is doing to these dealers but even looking nationwide I’m not seeing much of a discount on even 23 models in some cases. I talked with the local dealer EV guy and he said he had to beg to get a 9% drop on the 24s in stock. He even volunteered that they will have issues moving inventory when kbb or similar sites value shows a 30% loss on the same vehicle vs sticker. Lease money factors are insanely high and more than double those of other GM models from what I was quoted.

I did find a few out there that were priced closer to the kbb quote but all were well used 15k -26k miles but were untitled so “new”.

So much for finding a deal on a third vehicle. LOL

I think one of the inherent problems with EVs and why values decline so fast is they know the battery life is compromised with each passing year. This can be true, even if the battery is sitting there and the vehicle has little to no use. So the lease terms are gonna have a higher money factor knowing they may have battery issues when the vehicle returns and needs to be sold in the used market.

I like the Hummer EV, but I'd need a substantial discount to buy one. Maybe make them a lowball offer and negotiate from there.

My dealer has a lot of 1500 EV Silverados. They seem to shuffle them around the lot, but not sure they sell many. I never see them on the road. I did see one of them that was a city owned vehicle, so maybe some of the governments will fork.over the cash to worship the green alter. I offered to buy two of them for $75k just to free up space on the lot, but they didn't take it.
