Thank you very much for the insight. I think ill have my tool set ready for that roadside removal as well.

I actually have a small set of tools with the necessary torx heads driver for removing the fender liner. It's pretty easy to remove. I wont be doing it in traffic, but if its clear I will.

I can take mine out without removing the fender liner. But a 10mm would be needed to disconnect the battery

Same, I installed it without taking it off, the 10mm is a must though.

I'm with @AXE . I have been in 2 times and no issues, but again my SA and the Warranty SA both know I have it installed. It doesn't affect the system in any other way other than disabling the DFM and the auto start. I watched when my SA scanned for codes when you first come in to the bay. Nothing ever came up which leads me to believe it's undetectable unless you know exactly what you're looking for.

I’m told that the plug and play version of the range disabler is undetectable to dealerships. According to their website.
