Tailgate speakers

Has anyone installed the tailgate speaker kit. I see the kit for the GMC, but will they work on the ZR2?

They work on the Chevrolet too. I think they're way overpriced. It doesn't connect to the radio inside the truck. It's essentially a really expensive bluetooth speaker.

Thank you that is what I thought. Just wanted to make sure. I think I will just go with the light kit.
