Gained or lost? Was your gas mileage better before or now?I switched to 0w-40 in my gas mileage went up. I gained 3-4 mpg with thicker oil.
I gained 3-4 mpg with the thicker oil. I am not buying thin oil BS for better mpg. I have no idea why they push the thin oil. End of the day. The 0w-40 offers better protection especially from heat. I use Mobile one supercar, change every 3500 - 4000 miles.Gained or lost? Was your gas mileage better before or now?
Good to know - hope I get the same effect.I gained 3-4 mpg with the thicker oil. I am not buying thin oil BS for better mpg. I have no idea why they push the thin oil. End of the day. The 0w-40 offers better protection especially from heat. I use Mobile one supercar, change every 3500 - 4000 miles.
I was shocked myself. This 7,000#+ truck couldn't gain 3-4mpg from having a hurricane push it down a hill in neutral.
No, that was the Henessy kicking in.I was shocked myself.
He's not here cause he posted this video in his compilation thread weeks ago!Oh where is @AXE?!!! lol
My understanding. You don't want to go higher on the first number or lower on the second number. I would use 0w 30 or 0w 40.Any thoughts on using 5w-30?
In other countries 5w-30 is used in our trucksMy understanding. You don't want to go higher on the first number or lower on the second number. I would use 0w 30 or 0w 40.
Yeah, but does it have iron or steel particles in your latest oil analysis? Cause my wife's Tahoe analysis just came back with that assessment. I went to 0W40 on it when I did the change.Looks like since my recall was completed, mine is using more oil. It could be a coincidence but it went in at 30054 miles and now has 30736. In that time, its used about a 1/4 of a qt.
Dunno. The oil has been in it for 700 miles approx. I will say I used the same oil prior and in the 1-2000 miles didn’t have this same issue so it could just be a coincidence. Or because the AC has been on and sitting at higher RPMs longer maybe it’s causing it.Yeah, but does it have iron or steel particles in your latest oil analysis? The polli is still up for grabs.
