Changed the oil yesterday(did the wife's Jeep also), added black lug nuts, swapped to American flag center caps and today I swapped to the Airaid Jr intake tube to clean up the engine bay. (back is damn killing me lol)

While changing the tube, looked at the TB to ensure it was clean. The hose coming off the PCV is clean also. However, the hose that connects to the intake tube had some oil in it. Is this normal for this truck? There was no oil on the TB but the baffles in the OEM tube could have stopped that from happening. Just curious as I have never seen oil in that tube on other vehicles.

On a side note, the Airaid came with an oiled filter I did not use and dont plan to. If anyone wants to give a few bucks for it in NW FL, let me know. I figure the stock filter is fine and I dont have to worry about oil getting on the MAF.

Some of us installed the J&L oil separator for this reason.

2500HD question...What type of fuses do I have? I look at these things and they all look the same...I need to use a fuse tap and need to know what type to order. Thank you in advance for this dummy question.

Work continues on the bandit ZR2!!!
👍🤣🤙

Got the hood bulge wrapped in a matte/satin black with gold accent and black 6.2L badges!!

For my DIY brothers or those willing to take a try at vinyl it was relatively easy, as the bulge is mostly a big flat square.
I used matte black vivid vinyl from Amazon. IMO they have good stuff I’ve used it in the past to wrap motorcycles, and other toys….
Love the gold accents on the hood!

I'd have to look, but from the OM, there's a couple sizes. I'd assume micros and minis for the most part. Micros are tiny. Mini's are small but have semi-pointed blades.

The standard (ATO/ATCs) you see in trailers and generic fuse blocks are fairly big, they're easy to tell apart from the minis not only by size, but the blades are almost square.

There are cartridge fuses, where the body is like a cube, but I don't expect you'd be tapping those. Most OEs use cartridge fuses instead of higher amperage Maxi's.

That pic helps...thanks!!

Just in case you haven’t had an MXT before, make sure you change the setting to use the mic as the speaker instead of the head. (Or set it for both)
Good call- was aware of this already- one of the reasons I chose this setup. But I appreciate the heads up regardless.

Where are you looking to tap? There's three fuse panels?
