What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

After squeezing in the 35s and performing plastic surgery on the bumper and wheel well liner/plastic, added the shock guards. Hit them a few times before, we’ll see how these work. Also cut the hanging u-bolt ends.

Actually traded the ZR2 1500 in yesterday for a 2026 2500 LTZ Trail Boss gasser. Couldnt get my hands on a ZR2 2500. Love it so far.

Thanks guys. I was looking for the red, black or cypress grey. This was the only one I found that met most of the features I wanted. I wanted the HUD and mirror rearview also but no such luck. Those weren't deal breakers though so I pulled the trigger.

I'm new here. I got my ZR2 a month ago. I got it in Greenville SC. I drove it back home, 400+ miles to Louisville, KY. Two days later I drove it to Denver, CO. I spent the entire month there working. Each weekend I went into the mountains and drove the gravel forest service roads to fish and hike. I just got home a few days ago. I'm driving back to Clemson SC, tomorrow. By the time I get back next week, I'll have over 7,000 miles on it in less than two months. Let's just say I have and appointment to get my ZR2 wrapped. Hell, I four chips in my windshield. I'm not even going to count the paint chips. I thought they were bird crap splatters.
Have a good one all.
Bought mine while working in Spokane this July. Hunted wolves for three months on my days off in Idaho, drove through the Northern Cascades, Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Tetons before driving home to Florida. I’ve put 13K miles on it since July…. I’m a traveling ER RN. Long story short… I’m wrapping my hood and roof too.

I know I technically am not driving a ZR2 anymore but you guys are like extended family so....
Since getting the 2500 on the 25th, I have tinted the windows 70% up front with a 5% visor, 30% on front windows and everything else 20%. Put on Trail Boss puddle lamps and the reflective window pieces for the rear. Added my vinyl adulting decal to the rear window and changed out the side steps to some that drop a little lower that the high clearance. I added the kicker sub and tonneau cover as well. A few images below.

Stock suspension? How much trimming did you have to do?
I went with the Peak front spacers and collars, 2.5, sway bar relocation blocks and rear blocks. Kept the DSSVs for now. Trimmed the rear portion of the plastic wheel well and removed the lower support bracket. Cut about 1/2” from front bumper and cleaned up the liner as well. Really not a lot of trimming at all, kept it clean but gives me clearance needed for off-roading and full lock left and right.

This kit and lift

Yello looks good!
Had a 22 at4 3500 and live 3 miles back off a dirt road.
When I traded it in for.ky bison, the rockers looked like shit.
Softest paint ive ever seen.
My 2015 had years of driving the same road and looked nowhere near as bad after 7 years as my 3 year.old at4.

Had to get my decal back on the window lol.
Next I guess I'll have to throw the Borla exhaust on it. I wanted to just do a muffler but everyone in the area says they cant do 3.5" pipe. Would have been so much cheaper if they could have.
