What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

I'm new here. I got my ZR2 a month ago. I got it in Greenville SC. I drove it back home, 400+ miles to Louisville, KY. Two days later I drove it to Denver, CO. I spent the entire month there working. Each weekend I went into the mountains and drove the gravel forest service roads to fish and hike. I just got home a few days ago. I'm driving back to Clemson SC, tomorrow. By the time I get back next week, I'll have over 7,000 miles on it in less than two months. Let's just say I have and appointment to get my ZR2 wrapped. Hell, I four chips in my windshield. I'm not even going to count the paint chips. I thought they were bird crap splatters.
Have a good one all.
I'm gonna stop fixing mine and see where it's at in a few months. Then take it up with dealer and GM. I've done clear bra on a few vehicles and liked it, but couldn't see how it would work on that front clip with all the different surfaces and angles. If the chips stay low enough on my doors and "bumper", I might just Line X them.

Do you have a picture of these chips?

Put the decked system with the no slip battle mat on top. Also got some Rhino rock bars. They work for me and give the wife a small step

Finally installed the emblems I bought from EmblemPros.com They are a black mirror stainless steel with red insert. There are 8 color choices for the insert. The emblems are for a Camaro, but look pretty good against the black hood ornament on the ZR2.

The only two drawbacks are price ($33.99 each) and EmblemPros doesn't seem to respond to emails. I had originally ordered from them using my Discover Card on their website. Never got any responses to emails about order status. They have a eBay store, but only offer the polished stainless steel version, but they respond to questions there. Got my order canceled and reordered on their website paying with PayPal and what do ya know, I got my order!

Pulled the last chrome part, the FlowTie from the truck yesterday. Dropped it off with the hydrographic dipper to get dipped in black. We bounced a bunch of different ideas around, but ultimately we both agreed black was the way to go. I'm keeping the red insert so that all the red accents, tow hooks and red "2" all tie in together.

For those looking to remove the FlowTie, take your time with plastic trim tools and it will pop off. The red FlowTie insert is held to the chrome piece just like the red 2 is held to the chrome emblems.

I love those decked systems.

Both those caliper covers look great. I am still contemplating doing mine. The spokes on my rim are close together, so I'm not sure it will have as much of a visual effect.

Installed the Camburg Kinetic UCA and KING 2.5” kit, also got wheels and tires done; Method 305 17’s with BGF K02 35x12.5’s 🤙🏻

Last week,
Borla/GM performance exhaust
This week…..
Picked up the TPMS sensors for the boat trailer from the dealer (blew my rewards points on them!)
Matte Black window vent shields
Matte black hood protector
WeatherTech mud flaps on all 4 corners
S&B intake
Kicker sub and sub control knob
6 1/2” 2-way Morel component speakers in the front doors
6 1/2” 2 way Morel component speakers in the rear doors
SEAS silk dome tweeters in the front dash (same ones that are in my Linkwitz LX521.4 home speakers)
Tomorrow AudioControl D-6.1200 Amp going in and system tuning ( DSP built-in the amplifier)

I think I’ll take the weekend off and do something nice for the wife’s birthday ;)

Looks great! do you have to remove the grill to get the Flo-Tie out?
Nope. Patience and a trim tool. Be careful not to scratch the grille coating under the FlowTie. The red part of the FlowTie may try to separate from the chrome part and can probably brake if you get to aggressive.

Here’s a picture of the back of the two parts. The tabs that hold the FlowTie are on the red part.
