I'm looking to run a 4awg wire from under the hood to the bed where I'm installing a REDARC DC-DC charger and LIFPO battery. Gone are the days of just adding wires to the positive battery post. Where do we connect to positive side of battery these days?

You can pick up a kit on ebay for upfitter switches that comes with extra posts and fuses to add to the factory distribution box. Or you could just get the upfitter switches that comes with it at the switches.

I have done this as well and I used the kit below to provide the necessary power attachment point. In my case I'm powering an anderson connector that I hook up to my trailer to charge it's battery.

You can also order the necessary parts from gmpartsdirect.

Brief rant on the topic. It's sad that there isn't any more fore thought placed on the vehicles design in this area. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting some type of accessory for providing more power connections for almost any other make of vehicles especially the "Toys".
