10K Mile Service

Had my oil changed today with Shell Rotella T6 15W40 and a stock GM oil filter. Also replaced my fuel filter and, after 10K miles, it looked great and I could have easily gone another 5K miles. Rotated the tires too. This was my 4th oil change since I bought her.

I don't trust these filters much beyond 10k miles. The previous filters were two part with an inner and outer filter. Not sure this new one is two part. When I cut the old ones open, the outer filter was plenty dirty, but inner filter was pretty clean. They also had more filter media. I think 10k is a good interval, but if you get a dirty tank of fuel, you'd never know if it happened until your sitting by the road anyway. I haven't seen shitty fuel in a long time, but anything is possible.
