Archoil diesel fuel additive…

I’m up close to 30% on my last CVX purchases (includes dividends), and about the same on XOM. Bought both less than a year ago.

This all just an unexpected result from changing additives to improve lubricity (based on some online tests). The mpg and fewer regens are a bonus.
Yes, it's been a good run. I reloaded last March during the crash. Added some more today, figured if Israel decides we should to go to wat with Iran, it'll be worth another 20%.

I have no idea when my regens are occurring, every once in a while I see one. I tracked them on previous truck, but lost interest. I am coming up on 15k miles finally, so gonna look at the injector balance rates and see what they are doing. That's a good way to see if your fuel and additives are keeping them clean. Injectors can really kill mileage if they aren't operating optimally.

i always knew when a regen was happening and when it was possible for it to happen.

I tracked mine all the time on my last truck and learned nothing. I haven't tracked one in 2.3 years now and haven't even noticed if they are occurring......that's how Al Gore envisioned it.

I stopped keeping count after the fun wore off. Last thing I noted was the Banks was accurate in showing about 57 percent remaining in the def tank, while the IP cluster continued to show full. Needed another calibration, but since i knew that vehicle was soon to be history, I never took it into the local GMC dealer.
Regardless; not was bad as the way too often note in the center of the IP stating I had x-number of miles till max of 65 mph due to def tank being almost or sometimes empty, when it was NOT.

it's history now....

The whole system is a giant PIA!

The only thing I do like about the DPF is that it keeps the side of my boat and camper from getting soot stains in the gel coat.
