With all these Labor Day sales going on I found a deal on 17 x 8.5 -25 Offset wheels. This got me wondering if -25 offset is too much and the poke would create more problems than the deal is worth.

Rubbing was a big concern. I believe their next step down is -12.I've got -18 offset and they stick out just enough to look good. I wouldn't go anymore as I think it would start to affect handling and suspension geometry. But the main concern is clearance in front and rear of wheel well. Your likely to get a lot of rubbing.
295/70R18 Toyo RT Trails are about 34.5 inch tall and 11+ wide on 9 inch wheels. Wheels are Method NV 305 18x9 | 6x5.5 | -12/4.5".Rubbing was a big concern. I believe their next step down is -12.
What size tires are you running? Any suspension work?
