37" tires recommendations for 2500 ZR2?

Im pulling the trigger on getting some 37" installed along with the AEV 37" tire clearance kit/template kit made specifically for the non bison ZR2 along with some bora spacers for factory wheels. On the fence about tires options. I have 37" Ridge Grapplers on my f250 tremor that did very well all around however they didnt do very well at all in rain when I was traveling thru the Appalachians to Knoxville with those highways and roads. I make that trip regularly for work. So some wet weather performance is a requirement. I also have a farm and have to get thru wet grass and some gullys. I also pull a large 16x7 dump trailer to the dump maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Total weight no more then 10k pounds. My short list now is the toyo open country at3's. The Nitto Recon grapplers and the BFG k03s. The Ko3s are a load F the other two are E. I know a 12 ply may be stiff but I can lower pressures for daily driving down to I think 50 or 55 psi to soften it up. They seem like a great rated all around tire ratings wise, however ive read some that they dont wear well and ive heard they may have some balancing issues. Also learned they re-designed the K03 tire a year or so ago to account for some things. That being said I have no idea if the negatives are from old design or new. Me living in NC snow lake rated isnt the biggest deal, we get more ice then anything but not often. The Recon sounds like a great all around compromise for performance and looks. Anyway your guys feedback, votes or other contenders, would be appreciated.

Lots of threads on here that will likely give you some insight, search accordingly. I am a big KO3 fan having had Nittos and Toyos on multiple HDs. It’s not that any were “bad”, it’s just the K03s were best overall for my needs - primary use cases for me are daily driving, hunting all over Midwest and western states, beef farm, towing heavy, camping and hiking spots. All my tires have been 33 or 35’s though

Love the KO3's on mine. They are only 34.1" though. Still pretty quiet running down the road. I will say I wish the truck came with 18s vs 20s.

Thats good to hear! Im literally torn between the K03 and Recon Grappler at this point. Dont belive I would hate either one. There both good looking tires too. I find it interesting that the K03 for the 37" is a F load 12 ply and only 1 pound heavier then the Recons that are a 10 ply E. Dont know if thats a good or bad thing lol.

The toyo at3's suck in the snow, last set i had in a 37×13.5 on my at4 3500 didnt make 10k miles.
Have the bfg k03 on my zr2 bison(no aev clearance kit) excellent all around, no clearance issues.

I'm running Ridge Graps 37x12.50 on stock wheels and on a stock truck (bison). I don't think you would need a tire clearance kit unless you change wheels from stock or plan on off-roading heavily, my opinion. Don't know with the spacers. It rains a lot in FL. and I have had zero issues with my tires in all situations. No snow experience with this truck or tires.

I'm still on 35's, but on my second set of Recons. First set was great until they hit 45k miles then wet weather performance was sketchy at best. I kept them another 10k before trying the KO3. I could not get them balanced, nor Mickey EXP's. Discount Tire messed up my order for Yoko AT4x, so I went back with another set of Recon's. This set is far different, much noiser with poor wet weather traction from new. They do ride great and balance smooth. The 50k Recons did just ok with what little snow we had in the NC foothills this past winter.

I do think tires are a bit of a crap shoot! Seems like everyone has a slightly different result tire to tire.

I've personally had the best luck with Toyos in the last 20 years. But other people don't like them.

Has anyone that is sitting on 37s had the speedo recalibrated? Mine shows I’m going 5mph slower than I actually am. Lift and upgrades were done before I bought the truck so I don’t know history. Also…. Is that enough of a difference to have the gearing looked at as well? Genuinely asking as I really don’t know. Thanks!

You dont need a research with 37/38's...40s probably.
Just get a basic handheld tuner and re cal for tire size.
Im running 37x12.50's on mine, over 45 mph im off about 3 mph.
