3rd Generation Colorado Bed Rail cracking due to cap and even simple bed racks installations.

It's come to my attention, sadly, of the issue of the 3rd Generation Colorado bed rails cracking due to GM's poor welding design, whether you install a simple cap, one w/a built-in pop-up tent, or even w/a simple bed rack. I don't know about previous generations.

What's going on here?

I bought my Colorado w/the intent to install a cap w/a pop up tent, like a Tune M1.

If I had known about this issue, I wouldn't have bought my Colorado, but rather a Toyota Tacoma Off-Road.

It's the only truck out there w/this issue I'm told.

Tune has a fix for it I'm told, so I'll get in touch w/them about it, but still, a $52,000 truck?

Anyone else know more about this issue?
