OK, first off, Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I hope it's a joyous and peaceful day for all!!!
I've been lurking for awhile, life got lifey and had a really rough season last couple years. Bought my rig Oct 23, 2023 and pretty much kept it stock except for running boards and a rollup tonneau cover.
I'll upload photos as it progresses, but I am in middle of the build, thought it was time to share so I could get some feedback on some of the issues I run into and the solutions I come up with.
Thanks to all the posters who have led me to this place and I will continue to post as things get done.
It's been raining a bunch so no chance to get it cleaned up, but I'll do that later on.
If any of you guys read this thread and have some good ideas, please share and thanks in advance.
The build is to be a daily driver / modular Overland build. What I mean by that, is I want to be able to quickly and easily add what I need to get out in it like I did my 2018 Rubicon Jeep build. I don't want to be driving around with 800 lbs of stuff on the truck for normal daily driving.
My current idea, which is currently in progress for the bed is to see about a DV8 10 inch rack that I'll modify to fit outside the tonneau cover and have the RTT on top. I'm thinking of bolting through the top of the bed rails so I can hoist the rack AND the RTT together and hang them in my garage and use them when needed, more on that to come as I confirm fitment and modifications needed, etc.
Right now, I'm trying to finish up the trimming and fender flares as the ZR2 has that weird 2 piece trim piece on the bottom. The guy Chris, who posted how he cut out the crash bars and trimmed his to fit 37's, (thanks for posting that Chris), gave me a sneak peek, and overall it is an easy mod. The only thing I ran into was I had to remove the corner section of the plastic on that lower piece, (He kept his) so I could get proper clearance. My first cut, (similar to his) left only about 3/4" and I know I'd rub at an angled descent through any kind of rock garden, so, off it came, thus the open part of the plastic in the photo. New flares will fill that in and make it look finished and proper, so for now, I'm just rollin' hillbilly style on that.
Please leave any questions or comments, as I appreciate new ideas from all.
Thanks, Steve

Here's current build list:

4 inch BDS lift, kept the DSSV's and OEM driveline angles - drives like factory, maybe better as I have more rubber on the ground
37x12.5x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
Fuel Vapor 20x10 18mm offset wheels
(4) KC Flex Era 4's up front - these things are SOOOO bright, and have a super cool "Glow" setting, i also have (2) amber lenses for fogs as needed.
Auxbeam 8 zone controller.
OEM factory running boards
Bakflip Revolver X4s bed cover

In planning stage:
Rigid Ditch lights - Have them, need new brackets
Fender flares
DV8 bed rack system, 10" tall, low profile
RTT - Leaning Smittybilt XL series, had one before, great tent
Rack / camping lights with modular disconnect plug to remove rack for storage
Back up lights - flush rear bumper mounted, (have them, need to install them)
Rock lights - Brand TBD
Whatever my wallet and mind can come up with next :)
