4 way trailer connector - anyone install one instead of using an adapter?

My ZR2 didn't come with a 4 way trailer connector. There's plugs for cameras where a 4-way would have gone.

Has anyone done any permanent modification to add a 4-way connector instead of using an adapter every time towing something small? (I have jetskis).

My last two trucks haven't had a 4 way unfortunately. I just changed the plug on my trailer with no brakes to a 7way lol. Works fine and no more fooling with an adapter
