6.2 test for recall

Came across what the test and diagnosis encompasses to see what your fate holds with your 6.2. I'm just posting to share the info. ...I don't have answers to "what if this?" and "what if that?"

Thanks for sharing... looks like they are doing a noise and vibration test on the engine at operating temperature for this particular recall (one of three different ones)... at the end he mentioned he was going to put up more videos about the other two. Guess we all have to wait to find out which recall we fall under.

I’d like to review the source code. I’m not convinced the software displays anything other than “Passed”. On a serious note, I still expect the extended warranty. Just because an engine passes doesn’t mean it will at 50k, 75k, etc since it appears that GM can only narrow the problem to some manufacturing date in 2024. Parts flaws will still be present for many of us. At least the recall is starting to mature which is a step in the right direction. I bet NHTSA is calling BS in those closed door meetings which is forcing GM to get more creative in identifying bad engines.

Yep, I think this is a moving target and we'll get more information as we roll through summer months. Strategically, not saying GM has any strategic senses, they have to address the "elephant in the room" in July at the Q2 earnings call. They have to have some measured and quantifiable costs to assure investors they are on solid ground. Right now they appear to be listing to and fro!
