Aftermarket bumper without spot for factory fog lights - issues?

For those who have aftermarket bumpers (like the ADD ones) that don’t use the factory fog light, have you had issues with leaving the harness unplugged? Does it cause an issues like a warning that the bulb is out every time you start the truck or anything? If so, did you find a fix for it? Just getting mine installed and trying to figure out if it’s going to be a problem. Not sure if I should just pull the fog lights and secure them inside the bumper somewhere so the computer doesn’t yell at me. Don’t want to get it all together and then find it’s an issue without them.

The bumper I'm getting has cut outs for fog lights. Is your truck a 1500 or 2500 and what year? I would asume that the newer truck would give you a warning if you just unplug them.

mine is a 26 2500 HD, which is why i posted this in the HD sub forum. no cutsouts, which is why i asked. and looking for someone who has done it on one of these. I can guess too

I don't think I've seen a aftermarket bumper without cut outs for lights. I know most ZR2s seem to add more lights not less. But no, unhooking the fog lights won't cause a error message or check engine light. I have a family member that drove around for weeks with his unhooked waiting on his new lights to come in for his aftermarket bumper.

My Addictive Desert Design bumper doesn’t have cutouts for factory fog lights. Same with most of the ones ive seen for the HD trucks. But thanks. hopefully it wont be a problem. Just dont want a “ding” and alert msg every time i start the truck from now on.

I dont know if you already bought your bumper or not I got the Chassisunlimited attuitude series bumper and it does have cut outs. for fog lights as well as an option for parking sensors. Hope this is helpfull.

Yeah no one reuses the factory lights. I thought you were saying it didn't have cut outs for any lights.

No. It has cutout for 10” bars on each side. Running Diode dynamics 10” bars on the sides and 20” bar at the center. But those will be controlled via the D switch, not the factory harness.
