Yeah... I would for sure vote for that pic!Call me crazy but that could be the July photo winner too!
Don't know how I never saw this one, but...What’s your favorite daily?
What’s your favorite shelf bottle?
It’s essential that Chevy owners discuss this topic. It’s a bourbon thing!
Thanks @BogueZR2 now I am going to have to find a bottle of Kentucky Owl. Great line up especially the very rare.Don't know how I never saw this one, but...
Eagle Rare is probably my favorite go-to. Smooth for the price point (now that you can find it again).
Shelf bottle is a toss up, but Kentucky Owl Confiscated 12 Year is up there to go with the EH Taylor. Those are the two that I own that have great flavor and are super smooth considering their proofs.
Side note, I did get to try a sip of the Eagle Very Rare out in Cali and that was phenomenal. I'll never get to own a bottle though, since my wife would shoot me if I paid that much for a bottle.
Welcome to the debauchery. Pretty sure @jruck and I appear to be raging alcoholics because of what we postDon't know how I never saw this one, but...

Lots actually, but need to narrow it down. Do you like spices or pepper? Do you like smoked meats? Do you like beer or wine? Favorite food? If you bought an air freshener what would it be?Any first time whisky bottle recommendations for a CapriSun connoisseur?
Ok so the low hanging recommendations would be Buffalo Trace, Woodford, or Makers Mark.Nothing too spicy, I like IPAs, smoked meats are ok, I like sweet wines, favorite foods are Fajitas and burgers. Air fresheners would be something fresh and clean smelling
Weller Special ReserveAny first time whisky bottle recommendations for a CapriSun connoisseur?
Damn good recommendations.I’m going to recommend a Heaven Hill selection.
1. Henry McKenna - oak and savory notes, a hint of vanilla and absolutely delicious!
2. Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel - same mash bill as Henry McKenna just aged differently. Lower in the rickhouse provides a smaller angels share. Fired for 40 seconds to achieve a level 3 char then toasted at a lower temperature to give some caramel flavors smooth and comforting.
3. Heaven Hill 7 year also bottled in bond like Henry McKenna. A great offering for those with a diverse palate that offers caramel on the tongue, subtle smoke on the nose with some (just enough) spice in the mix.
Eagle Rare and Weller Special Reserve are super smooth and lower proof. I wouldn’t turn my nose up to it but it isn’t my first choice.
I have never said no to an Evan Williams bottled in bond either. Simple delicious and cost effective.
CHEERS! Enjoy the adventure and get a shovel, you’ll be in the rabbit hole (pun intended) before long.
