I purchased a used 2024 ZR2 with the 6.2L and 14K just over a year ago that had a S&B cold air intake installed and it has been running great with no problems. Last month the check engine light came on, I pulled codes and got P0106 which is a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Took it in under warranty, they did an update and sent me on my way. 2 days later another P0106, took it in, got a new MAP sensor installed. 2 days later, another CEL. Took it in again and they said I needed to put the OEM air box on. I don't have the factory parts so it will be $1200 installed.

I finally cleaned the filter, clearing codes myself multiple times and looked for used OEM parts to install myself. I figured they'd blame me for installing incorrectly so I think I'm stuck in a corner with only 2k left on the warranty. I just took her in yesterday to have the OEM airbox installed.

Anyone else have this experience? I'm having a hard time believing that an aftermarket CAI could be causing this problem. For background, I hadn't cleaned the filter in the first year, so over oiling wasn't the issue.

I'm also one of the recall VINs without a current solution, so no testing or changing the oil and cap or nothing. Just anxiously sitting tight...

Thanks for listening.

There are YouTube videos and that MAP.sensor is a common problem and has nothing to do with the CAI itself. I would contact the manufacturer of the CAI and see if they have a solution.

I have seen this before and it was remedied by disconnecting the negative battery cable, and reconnecting after the install. My friend has this issue on his 2021 GMC-AT4. The parameters on the Air Mass sensor must be calibrated really narrow for this to occur? worth a try.? My friend did the same and just put his stock system back on. It was on the truck, used when he bought it from this dealer. So if the truck had this code then the dealer just cleared it and sold the truck to him.
