Hi all, Not sure if this subject has come up but now that my 2023 ZR2 just passed it's recall inspection on the 6.2L and I have the extra warranty. I was thinking about putting a Cold Air intake and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations of which brands to look at or to avoid. also if a throttle body kit is needed. Next up is Truck vault and cargo glide, Diamondback HD cover and AEV rear bumper. top start.

Whats the info of the extra warranty? was it 150k and 10 yrs?
Yes, so according to what I’ve heard Online and was told by my dealer Yes once the vehicle passes its inspection it’s a 10 year 150,000 mile warranty something will come from GM and if your have the mobile app it will eventually show up in there too. I filed my recall inspection paperwork away and if I don’t see anything in the mail or on my app in 90 days I will contact GM.

I took my truck to Covert GMC in Bee Cave TX. Bought my truck thru Hanna Chevrolet in Austin and their service center sucks. On my first free oil change right at 5K the paperwork said my truck had 7500 miles on it off by 2500 miles OK at 10,000 miles the paperwork said my truck had 63,000 miles on it. Took them 2 months to get that corrected via Car Fax. Took my truck at 15,000 miles to Capital Chevrolet next. They charged my for a fuel and Throttle body cleaner when GM doesn’t call for it to be done until 75k miles at best. I only run Chevron 93 premium in my truck. Also if I’m gonna use a fuel cleaner I’m gonna go to Napa and get a much better product then what this dealership was using. $300 for that service oh and they charge folks 4% if you use a credit card as payment. Which is illegal in the state of Texas. So if you live in the Austin Texas area go to Covert GMC better location and owners lounge. Hanna’s and Capital looks like a DMV waiting area.

The only thing that I didn’t like hearing was the high cost of the oil change as it’s the same oil they put in their Vets. My MX supervisor said it’s gonna cost us $300 the next time. Hopefully GM is able to source another oil or increase its production to lower the cost for us.
