Exterior Door Handle Lock Button Issue

As if my truck developed a mind of it's own, I can't unlock my truck with the button on the exterior handle. Nor can I open my tailgate with the tailgate button. Both worked great for months and now refuses to cooperate. I get the flashing lights as if the FOB isn't within range. It happens with both FOB's. Also, I can LOCK the doors with the button, just can't unlock the doors. Nothing has changed in my settings, as far as I can tell. I've tried removing the negative battery connection for a few minutes to no avail. I also insured it wasn't just the driver door with the issue.

Any ideas?

Nevermind...... I feel like an idiot. Somehow I had turned off the passive door unlock in my settings. Situation resolved.

Dude! Thank you so much. My 2022 silverado did the same thing. I remote started it from inside my house like normal but when I went out suddenly the door button would flash the lights but not unlock my truck. Such a trivial matter to have to remove my key fob from my pocket but once you get used to the keyless entry, it's impossible to go back. My settings somehow reverted back just like yours. Simple fix which I'm grateful for.
