HD Rear Block Options?

Good morning everyone! I'm wondering if anyone has changed out the stock 1.5" block in the rear of their HD for something smaller to bring the rear down to be more level with the front. Like maybe down to a 1" block or perhaps even lower? I'd rather lower the rear to bring it more level with the front instead of cranking on the torsions. Not a fan of the idea of losing droop travel and steeper steering angles to raise the front.

It's a horse apiece. I cranked my front up 3/4 inch to nearly level and it rides great and looks better.

The rear springs on this truck are pretty soft, so it squats plenty with any trailer or cargo, especially north of 8k lbs of trailer weight. If your gonna lower the rear consider that. You'll be riding on the rear jounces pretty quickly with lowered blocks.

Also if you plan to add air bags for towing it'll be harder to do with smaller blocks as there isn't a lot of frame to axle clearance.

Most I'll probably tow is 8k but rather light on the tongue. Ah because they pushed the jounce bumper down to accommodate the block. Wonder if the jounce can just be placed like a Z71 and then would have more clearance for a shorter block and or bags. Maybe I'll give the torsions 2 turns and see how that looks. Possibly get the shock spacers from Cognito to let the arms droop more. Cheap upgrade to get more down travel. I am guessing that's probably the clunk I'm hearing in the front of my truck going over speed bumps. Just topping out the shock. I saw your thread on the torsions. You did 4 turns on yours and got 3/4" of lift? Or did you back yours down after running at 4?

I have a thread posted on my torsion bars adjustments. I think i ended up at 3ish. I felt like the ride quality was better with just a little lower in the front, but visually it looks level. I just go by measurements from fender to ground on flat smooth pavement. I dont focus on the turns as much. I think try 2 and then drive and go to 3 and drive.

There is a large platic jounce plate set over the axle plate. I removed it to install my airbags. Theoretically if you lowered the lock you could do the same. I have a detailed post and photos on that process for my airbags on the forum.

Alright I'll mess with them a little bit. I never even looked into doing anything with my old truck, 22 AT4 HD. Just left it stock. I've never even looked under the front end of one of these things that much. I can't believe there is no rubber pad or anything for the upper control arm to come in contact with at full droop other than straight metal to metal. I've been digging online all morning looking for anyone who made any kind of low profile rubber pad to put on the droop stop. There's a hole right in the middle of the droop stop that looks like it would be perfect for some kind of bolt on pad there.
