Since the BW hitch tucks away and stays on the truck I had to remove the lock out "hitch cover feature they have added to protect the tailgate.
Simply un-plugging or cutting the wires does not work and locks up the tailgate.
No need to mess with the plug as I was just curious. Cutting the wires at the hitch cover works best and electrical tape them together.
Had to cut wires and splice together to enable tailgate to work again. I just zip tied it to the hitch so the cover can be put back if needed.
