Infotainment issues.

I think they all suck on new vehicles mine is a 2025 ZR2 2500 HD Duramax. The android auto does not connect 20% of the time but the built in Chevrolet system will still work, does not make sense, both use the phone for internet. Have a 2026 BMW X5e and it has its own set of infotainment issues including blank screens, connectivity issues and so on. Issues are on Android and IOS so not the same phones or OS. Both have same and different issues.

Sadly, it is not just GM my 2023 Ram power Wagon has its fair share of electrical gremlins. At least GM is trying with updates. Ram supervisors basically told us too bad!

My 2500HD ZR2 infotainment system hasn't been too bad for almost 2 years. Just a couole audio signal drops here and there (mostly Sirius XM).

A few days ago, I had an OTA for "infotainment system performance". It's been cutting out frequently now on Sirius everytime I've driven it. Iy might be as bad as my 22 1500 was the first year, but thats been much better for a while now.

5 years and they still can't make the infotainment systems work......good job GM!

Mine has been pretty much ok since having it in the shop. The only issue I seem to have now is the slow ass touch screen. I bet some times it's ten seconds for a text message box to go away after I hit the button to hear it.

Thats interesting, because I thought my screen response improved, except its slower with navigation........the GM grab bag.......LMFAO

I just got another software update today on my 25 2500 ZR2 and I have no clue what it has fixed.
Maybe one day they will actually put my model of truck on my dash... I won't get my hopes up.

I went in for my 1st oil change early last week and asked them to upgrade my infotainment software. They looked at me a bit funny and took down my phone model and software version (android 17 on pixel 10 pro) and when they contacted GM (there was a new version), they had to get a new software version from GM on a flash drive and install it via the USB. Works like a dream now.
The upgrade this week didn't do anything to my direct upgrade.
I swear, the over the air upgrades are 6-9 months later than getting the direct upgrade from GM.

Three times this week this piece of shit has had no volume. Not even the fucking turn signal. One time it even lost all my presets.

I've done reset after reset after reset. These trucks piss me off.

I’ve had mine since mid-May 2026. No sound started early June. Intermittently comes and goes and has been gone more than on. I’m fed up, 3200 miles is all and $80k later - I’m pissed.
Opened ticket with GM Executive Branch, still no solution. I’m ready to take this bitch back and demand a new ride that works!

I disconnected battery overnight - still problem. Did hard reset, nope. Did software update at dealership, nope. Wiped my profile and rebooted, nope.
Has to be hardware and they’re stalling to fix.

It doesn't get better. My system seems to be slowing down over time since the last dealership trip. The texts sometimes won't play, other times they send before I am finished or before it asks me if it's ok to send. For $80k you'd think the fucking radio would at least function properly.

Just did a short trip after the update today. This one seems to be working smoothly again and it actually produced good bass again, especially on Sirius (not quite as good with Spotify and Pandora).

Here's the numbers of the updates that I got within the last 10 days. Not sure that helps anybody, but maybe they get it right once in a while.

Guess I'll check mine today to see if there is one. I had one like a week ago that said it failed but if you looked at last update, it didnt.

If it makes anyone feel better, I’ve had two new vehicles in the past few months and both (GMC Hummer EV and Ford Raptor) both have the same issues as my ZR2. Admittedly not as often especially with the Ford but it’s still a thing.
