Bottom end will get forged pistons upgraded bearings rings etc. FYI if you don’t gap your rings to handle the boost you’re asking for problems. Honestly the 6.2 factory is shit unless you per-fect it. The DFM issues and now recalls in the bottom end. Just be careful guys when you start throwing blowers in that stock motor.

In your opinion, based on what you see....What do you think the issue is with the cranks toasting rod bearings? The lifter issue appears to be the shut-off function, but the cranks.... Give me your best observation.

It’s a manufacturing defect with the crank shaft and connecting rods which contaminates your oil and ruins your rod bearings that’s the main issue with GM recalling specifically the 6.2 on April 24th. Honestly the 5.3 is way more reliable, but people like us opt for the power and torque so the 6.2 is our first pick. I personally know guys locally that have had 6.2 engines drastically fail. 6 and counting just in my realm of people.

That’s why I went though my whole engine and deleted all DFM replaced all lifters pushrods cam etc. now the bottom end will be completely upgraded for high performance. Honestly even with the the recall I don’t want the 6.2 that Chevy built. I just built a better motor than anything they have ever manufactured outside of a couple specific corvette’s but anyways the truck now should be damn near Bullet proof with 720hp.
