FYI My Chevy IOS app just updated to 7.6 build 418 and they removed the OTA update history and the check updates option under vehicle status. Another owner on a different forum confirmed the same. Instead of adding features they are removing them. 😳 I haven’t had an OTA update on my 2022 since 2023 or so. GM was having issues with OTA updates and put a pause on them. I checked in the truck and the update option is there but I have no updates.

I can confirm this as well. My truck never had any OTA updates shown in that list so if they've just done away with it seems ok with me.

I think it speaks volumes. OTA is dead. GM is not showing us that they have the capacity to fix anything in their software tech. Disappointing at the least. I am typically a positive person but I paid for stuff that should work.

And yet, they are going to kill off support for CarPlay and Android Auto and force you to use their technology instead.

Makes me wonder if this was a technology they spent billions on developing for the EVs that no one wants so they are forcing it into their ICE vehicles as well so the loss isn’t so big under Mary’s watch…

My iOS app has done the same. All updates gone, all ability to update wiped. When you try to do it from the dash, all you get is ā€œup to dateā€, but the last date shows 2023. The dealership has done a couple since then.

I love this truck, but it will probably be my last GM if they don’t get their shit together.

Chevrolet sent me a survey a couple of weeks ago about the infotainment system and OnStar. I told them that I use Android Auto for everything and that I'd rather have my nuts sanded raw and dipped in ammonia as to have to use the onboard Android System. I expect to hear nothing back from them.
