While I was driving, my truck randomly went into neutral and press start button popped up on the dash. I pulled over to hit the button but after I put it into park to start it again, my truck won't start. Now my power stays on. If I press the button to shut it off, it comes back on 5 seconds later and stays on. Full power but engine won't start. I hear a click but that's it. Any ideas?

Unplug battery negative terminal for a few minutes and reconnect. See if the software system reboots.

Also can get a scan tool and scan for codes. It might lead you to the issue.

Otherwise have it towed to the dealer and they'll get it fixed.

exact same thing happened to me when mine locked up at 2 a.m. last summer. random neutral, engine died, "press start" on the display. learned not to press start in the dark, it kills everything including lights. was pretty solid driving to bring it to a stop off the interstate with a boat in tow. the click you're hearing . . . that's the starter attempting to engage a locked up engine; heard that, too.

good luck with the new engine.

Same exact issue on my 2022 ZR2 just happened today...waiting for tow truck!

Can you confirm it was the engine and if so, have you gotten a replacement yet? This just happened to me today, so i'm wondering how long it'll be in the shop.

Well, that definitely gives me hope! Looking through truck forums and reddit, there was a lot of bleak messaging about getting a new engine and long timelines!! Appreciate the quick response!
