There's a Sterling gray Bison at the dealer I buy from. Thought I'd post some pics since there's none for 1500's

I noticed the 4wd buttons were sitting wrong.

Also snapped one of a white LTZ with the blackout option

Thanks @ZR2BIZON, yeah, those look broke to me, guess someone pushed too hard and busted out the back support maybe? And it isn't just the buttons, the dial is also way recessed in the hole in the dash, that is definitely broken. Sometimes when I get out my knee will hit one of the dials, probably the Mode/Tow Haul dial, and I am always afraid I will break it, so I try to be careful. I probably should set the "Exit" switch and use it to lift the steering wheel and lower the seat and slide it back the last little bit to get away from them.

Mine were like that too, and I think I read at least one other member had the same issue. A gentle push to the side got mine to click into place and they’ve been great ever since. I think something on the assembly line is slightly out of tolerance.

My appologies Sire. I've been cerebral flatulencing all day.

Mine were like that on both rigs. It's a feature not a flaw.

I reached up behind the dash on the 1500 and they spapped into place with a little push from behind. 2500HD did not work, they seemed solid. I think I managed to make them worse by continuing to try to manipulate them. Parking brake button is crooked as a dogs hind leg now.

HA, yeah had my first order cancelled, color already built out. So I searched and searched and searched.
To smooth things out I have a K&N sticker somewhere, and I always try to get up in your neck each year

So, on the crooked button front, my parking brake button is the only one not clipped in place on the left side near the door, when I reach around and push it into place it goes, feels like it clips in place, but doesn't, so the next time I push it in the middle of the button it pops out again. I need to do a little more disassembly so I can see in there and try to figure out what is going on before it drives me crazy!

Well, fake it till you make it applies here.

Now that you've officially made it.

Welcome good Sir. I shall consider this water under a bridge in my neck of the woods

Shocking!
I would have the dealer fix it! Especially with recent talk about us being upside down 20k ish

I may, but I want to get a look at what I'm dealing with before I take it to the dealer, don't want them to goof it up any worse if it is a simple fix, I am assuming once I can see in there better it will just be a matter of lining up the clip to the tang and seating it properly, we will see.

You think you can get a look up in there to see how it attaches?

I think I can... I needed to remove the bottom and side cover to get to it, but I just didn't take the time to get a look at that time, I just reached in and pushed it into place. I tried that twice hoping that in the second attempt I could get it to "click", into place but no luck. I think I need a small mirror or a borescope to have a better view, or do a little more disassembly. I will figure it out when I get it back from the dealership for the valve body replacement, been there 3 weeks so far with no end in sight right now, good old national back order status on the valve body. They did give me a brand new RST to drive while I wait, but of course it isn't quite as nice as my ZR2, but I am trying to be patient and am just glad I am not driving around an Equinox. GM customer service is talking remedial steps to make up for the trouble, maybe I can talk them into making my payment until they get it back to me, or get an extension on the warranty, not sure yet, but they do seem eager to do SOMETHING to make up for it. We will see.

As to the button, I’m hoping there isn’t one of those cheap tips on it that always seem to break, thus the loose button. Glad to hear the General is interested in helping and an RST might help the pain a little. Was the trans acting up, o might have missed that thread.
