This Little-Known Reason Is Why You Shouldn’t Ignore GM Over-The-Air Updates

I wonder if they would ever be able to say that the lack of update actually damaged the vehicle. The software wasnt updated for X number of miles before they provided an update. Maybe the damage happened then lol.

I think that's just some dumb shit someone decided to write an article about.

When I bring mine to a dealer I asked them to do all the updates.
 
If things worked right in first place updates wouldn’t be needed. Some how my 2500 made it off the line with a non functioning home screen and infotainment power button. Spent 5 days at the dealership in its first month of ownership……

Stated to me last night while eating fajitas in a local joint, by a local GM tech, "You can tell when updates come out because appointments jump from shit not working the way it's supposed to". I've had three in the last 90 days.
