We had a real bad storm recently and trees were down all over the place. I misjudged one and I took some branches on the passenger side. Only thing that really happened is a crack in the plastic of the side view mirror.

I'm looking for some advice on how to 'weld' this shut. TIA

I'd just get new one. That hard plastic is hard to repair. It'll just keep cracking when temps vary and plastic swells or shrinks.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of... I was hoping I could use a soldering iron on low or something to just fuse the seam, but you're probably right. As soon as winter hits it'll separate and likely grow.

That hard plastic is a bitch. I wish I could just repair that piece, but I'd bet I have to do the whole mirror.
