What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

You can't beat a good electric impact for convenience. The lithium batteries will generally last several years. The other thing is that you can rebuild them relatively easily with batteries cells found on the interweb. It could last 20 years.
Yep .....my thoughts exactly...... It'll be around long after I'm gone if it's built properly...... and I'm sure they'll always be plenty of aftermarket batteries on AliExpress or Temu or something like that..... Sadly I wouldn't put it past them to sell knock off stuff in big box within the next 10 years. They make knock off everything's.....

So this was my thinking ... I just had the tires put on at Discount tire and they normally do torque them to spec, which is about 140....and within two or three knocks of the impact wrench starting up, the lug nut started to turn. I believe It also would have continued to tighten the lug tighter than it was already. That's all I care about. That's what I bought it for.... specifically for changing tires and nothing else. .. unless another need arises even then it's just a bonus 😎

For $28 I was willing to walk away and dispose of it If it has not performed.....just wish I had some 4 or 6 amp batteries like my Craftsman stuff.

Get a set of these torque bars from Hobo Freight. They have a 140lb bar in there to set initial torque. They are very accurate Then after you've 25 miles or so, you can re torque with a torque wrench. Mine rarely move aftet initial set.

I use them for rotating tires on my vehicles, sxs, and trailers. Also use them for clutch work on sxs where high torque is required. They are great tools. I also have a mini impact and several ratchets that make work so much easier.
