What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Fun times!

I get the "4wd is disengaged" message regularly whilst snow wheeling deep snow in the 1500 too.

Also the front axle setup is quite weak. I busted my rear driveshaft on a trail last year and removed it to get off the trail in FWD. Going slight up hill on loose gravel/dirt the "safety protection" disengaged the front axle after 3 seconds of tire spin. I was locked front and back (you cant just lock the front) and had to winch to break over the humps.

This year at EJS I broke my rear diff and had to do the same thing. The FWD did better on the moab terrain but still couldn't stay engaged.

Towed it home in this trusty 🐏
Chevy used shit transfer cases in these. They dont have any true lock up, it's all clutch. Ford on the other hand has both the clutch and true lock up, so their 4wd system is alot more robust. Pretty disappointing tbh.

This week I scratched the living shit out of my truck wheeling near/ in Canyon Lands Utah.

Finally warmed up enough to put on the rear window overlays I bought last winter. Look great but the top one scratched up pretty badly just cleaning with an alcohol wipe after install.
Good news! A friend had some very fine polishing clothes and spent about half hour on it and you can barely see it now.
Will see how a car wash does with it but am very happy with the look now!

I bet you must have forgotten to peel off the protective film, my friend—just like in the picture.

I also bought one this week. ‘26 HD Duramax. So far just the ppf, but I have some mudflaps to install and I’ll probably buy some rims and tires this summer.

Oh I had to buy floor mats immediately because the Chevy ones were incredibly slippery.

Welcome to the rabbit hole🤣.... congratulations 👏

Nice side stance and desert rated for my driving habits. 😎 Decided to stay stock size....they are only 6-8 lbs heavier per tire. (32lb max split 4 ways) Having The alignment on Tuesday at a shop that specializes in four-wheel.

Now it's just plugs, coolant flush, trans filter. LOL the tire techs said there was a huge pile of gravel and sand in my spare......it's all over the floor in the garage 🤣
I told them it was from banging donuts 2 weeks ago.

All finished.

My other choice was going to be the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T, but these are better suited for my driving purposes. I chose a 60/40 split for pavement to trail. If anybody has ever had these before let me know what you thought of them.

Good looking tires! I ran Falkens on my boys Taco and they were a very good tire.

They are rated for 50k well...that's when the warranty is up..... And the Taco is 1/2 less weight😬
