What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

That’s unacceptable not being able to enjoy your truck.
i do enjoy it, it's so damn purty to look at sitting in the garage all nice and clean. weather's been shitty here and i'm not drving it on the salt ridden roads until i have to. as for now, my little puddle jumper chevy cruze that i bought for my son several years ago brings me and takes me.

coincidentally, my son bought a new 2500 duramax high country back in the fall of '22 and was going to drive the cruze to keep the miles low on it. i'm not sure that idea lasted a week, he told me exactly what you inferred . . . "dad, i love driving the truck too much to let it set around, you can have the cruze back." he's over 50K miles and rolling on now.

Did you just do the speaker swap or or install a sub and amp too.

My 22 sounds average, but my 24 sounds much better and the bass is actually noticeably improved. Not sure if its the software or just bad hardware.
I replaced the factory speakers first and the overall sound was improved. Then I installed the jl audio stealth box with 2 12s that I pulled out of my 2020 silverado using an lci7 I had and an audio control 700w amp. Honestly the 2 12s is to much but I already had the setup sitting in my shop.

I like your son's approach. They don't get more valuable sitting around, just depreciate!

Finally Installed a Range DFM module - so much better now.
Removed the front flow-tie and hyperdip it satin black, and replaced the rest of the chrome emblems with black versions.
These are the exact ZR2 emblems I was looking to get for my truck. Thanks for posting! Did you have to paint or dip the front bowtie yourself or did you find that on ebay somewhere?

I pulled it off, taped off the red part and used https://www.dipyourcar.com/products/hyperdip-emblem-badges-kit
I originally bought that kit to dip all of the emblems, but wasn't happy with how the ZR2 badges turned out, so bought the others on ebay.

Got the switch box wired up and powered. Working properly. I chose the Bulletpoint instead of Auxbeam because the BP switch box is rated at 80 amps VS 60 with Auxbeam. It's a quality built product. Made of metal not plastics which I was pleased to find out. The Bulletpoint mounting system is outstanding. Even got the 20mm to 17mm reducer attachment so I can use my wireless phone mount I already had. Can't believe I didn't purchase it sooner! More pictures after I get all the new lighting hooked to the switch box.... Here's a couple of the interior for the moment. Very happy with this system!

You just need to add a few more things to completely block your view ;)

Added bed and under cab lights. Relay is activated by the factory bed light circuit or a switch in the bed. It lights up when unlocked by the key fob or opening a door when in park. Before I get any hate I put a diode on the factory bed light circuit to protect the control module

Kenwood kfc-x2c in the dash, infinity reference 6x9 front doors and infinity reference 6 1/2 rear. If you use the Kenwoods in the dash you must remove the bass blocker other wise the bose amp will shut off the channel. For $190 total on black Friday it made a huge difference.
Nice thanks. I bought all new speakers and radio for my 96 Bronco on Black Friday special. Haven’t put the speakers in yet. Need to add some sound deadening.

Put the RAS suspension kit on. Raised back about 1.5”. Went back and forth between this and airbags but decided to try this.
So I bought the peak 1” spacer to put on the front to even things out a bit after adding the RAS. Peak recommends replacing the UCA if you add the spacer. Wondering if that needed and if so if I should go Peak or Dirt King.

I just ordered the peak kit with peak upper control arms. I'm hoping to slap it on as soon as it arrives then straight to alignment
