Have bison 6.6 diesel. Have owned diesels trucks over 20 years. I can’t get 10 mpg in rural driving. Put 1500 miles on two longer highway trips first tank 18 mpg. Second trip 16. Have 3k on it took to dealer as I saw blue smoke pulling grade. Says regen. But I am. 12 lifetime mpg. Town rural driving yet to get 10 out of a tank. Is this attributed to the fat soft tires or do other truck owners get crap mileage like me. I do not hot rod truck rarely exceed 2k as it has spent y of power. I had expected 14 to 15 Please chime in.

Seems off to me. I've got a non bison gasser. My lifetime average is right at 12mpg with 20k miles. That's with towing, idling, ect. Mine is my daily so I drive in town every day. I would think diesel should do a touch better then 10mpg in the city. My previous LML averaged 15mpg with the same use.

I have gotten over 20 mpg in mine and as low as 7 mpg towing heavy at 75 mph. I can get 16 mpg easily just running around. My good mileage didn't start until between 1500 miles and 2000 miles. I'd say 14-16 mpg is reasonable for everyday use, no towing.

There is a recall for injectors, but it was a narrow range of trucks.
