Sumo Springs and using an Andersen equalizer. 3.0 Duramax - trailer loaded is at the top of my tow rating. I'd appreciate hearing anyone's experience towing a similar trailer.

I Towed a 8000lb camp trailer that is 31 feet long using a Weigh Safe distribution hitch which I recommend. I did max out my half ton. My ZR2 does have a 3.0 Duramax and it will pull the trailer easily . I went from Utah to California. My truck did give me a noticed that I was max out. Even thou the ZR2 can pull 13300 lbs with a Durmax. I went to the CAT scale and I was at 15500 gross weight. 500lbs over. Im not sure how. My trailer is 7800 and with the propane and batteries and little stuff I rounded up to 8000. The ZR2 is 4859 curb weight. with 4 people which makes the truck 5549 6000lb. Puts me at 14000lbs. something is off by 1500lbs. there must be a mistake on the truck info or the trailer. I'm not sure what the 13000lb towing Chevy is advertising. I was able to go up hill and down with ease. The motor handled it very well. My only issues is the the gross weight. I did have a little of the squat with the distribution hitch it did help. I had little to none sway driving at 70 mph. I'm looking into airbags to help level the truck. Right now no one has any compatible air bags or helpers springs.
