I did the same thing with a $10 roll of film from Amazon. Did the two upper markers too as well as the mirror lights. All on my lunch break.

So do you get much light on the road shoulders with yellow covering? I like the yellow, but my aging eyes need all the light I can get.

My thoughts are this...if you are looking for more light, leave them white. If you are in an area with a lot of fog, tint them yellow as yellow penetrates fog much better without the light dispersion. If you are looking for looks, go yellow.
