Yes. And sometimes it does it periodically.

hmmm. not sure thats my issue. i get 2-3 dropouts within 2 minutes only at startup. nothing after the 2 minutes. good luck. let us know if amp is the issue.

Ever since my radio was updated to the 171 software, the dropouts have stopped. Imagine that, a software update that actually fixes something!

It's likely not the amp. My issue was solved with a firmware update.

They did an update on mine a couple of weeks ago and that didn't work. They told me today that a bulletin came out last week from GM saying it was an amp issue.

Mine was good for a while, but now it's doing it again post update. Mine has always been random in occurance.

I'll be SHOCKED if the amp replacement fixes this issue. I've said all along it ain't the amp If it is, then it's a different issue that 99.99% of us have seen and that's the "muting" during the first 5-10 minutes of driving. A new AMP will not help that.

Mine too. I just figured it was because it's a crappy stereo lol

the ZR2 bose can be juiced up to sound much better. use search. tons of good technical info.

I will often get 2-3 dropouts in the first couple minutes, and just a few times at some point later going down the road it might do it once, but rarely does it do that, still, I think I would rather just live with it than have them tear into my dash unless it is a well known issue with replacement parts available, it really is a minor annoyance for me. IMHO/YMMV

I get one dropout consistently at startup within about 30 seconds, very strange but as others have reported mine is not alone.

I have money on that horse too, maybe in the future there will be a new update to fix it.
